Internship Commitment

As an Explore Intern will you commit to: 

  • Serve as an intern full time for 10 weeks in the summer at a local church/organization in Western North Carolina (Monday, May 18-Sunday, July 26)
  • Participate in a mentor/intern orientation day (Monday, May 18)
  • Try a range of ministerial responsibilities or visioning and implementing new ministries in a local church/organization for 10 weeks
  • Establish a Ministry Covenant with clear goals for the internship
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings with the mentor for the purpose of theological reflection at least one hour per week
  • Participate in an Intern Support Team, which will include group reflections at least 2 times during the summer
  • Represent Christ in daily life

Interns will receive a $3,000 stipend for their service.
